About This Coffee
For the third year in a row, coffees from the village of Mya Ze De Village in Myanmar’s southern Shan State have stood out on the cupping table. In the village, 156 farmers cultivate coffee trees, some that feel almost wild, with cherry occasionally growing so high they look like stars in the sky. The villagers farm a startling number of different varieties, but we chose this Catuaí for its comforting florality and confectionary sweetness. We think this coffee captures the unique profile that we look for when tasting coffees from this region: lots of fruit, a rich syrupy body, and floral-like herbal accents.
